My Favorite Fall Lip Colors (repost)
Hi! Today I'm writing about my favorite lip products for fall. I'm going to be talking about four different formula's in this post; lipstick (matte and satin finish), liquid lipstick, and gloss.The products are affordable/ drugstore and high end so there is a good mixture, and I can't wait to show you the products that have been using. A dark, dark, dark plum lip is my go to, and I have honestly been wearing these colors since July. before I start, this is a little review for the products as well, as some of them I recommend much more than others and I want to let you know which product will give you the perfect fall lip color :)
Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 107 - deep red
This is a matte deep red lipstick that screams fall. If you are someone who isn't comfortable with a darker burgundy lip or plum, a dark red is a very easy way to incorporate a darker color into your makeup. I love this formula, it is very opaque and creamy, it doesn't last for the longest time (4-6 hours usually , but I find that is pretty typical with lipsticks.
Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 11 - red berry
This lipstick is a satin finish rather than matte, and besides from the finish it is more comfortable than the matte rimmel lipsticks. The color is opaque, but it is a more sheer formula in comparison to 107. This lipstick is perfect for someone who wants a comfortable wear and berry tones The wear time for this is obviously shorter than the matte lipstick but that's super typical with a satin formula. Overall, it's just a super wearable berry toned lip color that is perfect for fall.
Mac Ariana Grande Viva Glam Lipstick - blackened plum
This is my absolute favorite product from this post and I wear it weekly! Even during the summer when I probably should have been wearing a pretty coral or nude lip, I was walking around town in a blackened plum. So that should tell you that I honestly love this. But, I'm going to be super honest that the formulation is not amazing. It is a little bit patchy and when you build up the coverage with multiple layers it will come off super easily. So, my solution is to apply a layer of this lipstick, making sure it is just one regular application that is opaque but not thick. Then I apply my Milani liquid lipstick in sugar (read more about it below) over the lipstick, and voila it is opaque and the color lasts longer!
Colour Pop Creme Lip Gloss in Drop Out - chocolate raspberry
This is a new addition to my fall lip products. It is a very smooth gloss, and it is not sticky at all. I don't love it applied over lipsticks as it doesn't really settle and it can move the product underneath. As just a gloss, I do like it and I need to wear it more.
Milani Amore Matte Liquid Lipstick in 20 - burgundy plum
This is my favorite of the liquid lipsticks and I really love the color. The formula is so so, although for the nude colors in this collection the formula is amazing. For this one, it cracks on my lips and leaves certain lines in my lip without product. I love how creamy the formula is and if you like a large applicator that picks up a lot of product that you will definitely love this one.
Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creme in Transylvania - deep plum black
I really like the color of this one, and I would recommend it to any one who is willing to reapply multiple times throughout the day. It is a soft matte lip creme, which means it does not stay all day. It does flake off after eating and it will leave a few lines on the lips. but it is so much more comfortable to wear than many of my other liquid lipsticks
