Beauty and Skin Care Haul

Hi! today I have a beauty and skincare haul. While I was trying to be good and to not go spending money like crazy.... I pretty much failed at that. I also needed to get some skincare stuff so I decided that while I picked some of that up, I might as well pick up some other things too. Also, knowing me I figured I should just give up on that goal as I was going to buy more makeup soon (LOL I am makeup obsessed). So, I decided to share what I got as I'm super excited about it and if you are reading this you are probably into beauty and stuff like that so you might like it too. Thanks for reading :)

Beauty

Too Faced Sweet Peach palette

So, the first thing I picked up was the infamous Too Faced Sweet Peach palette. I am so glad to finally have this as I wasn't able to get it when it first launched during the summer. I (like everyone else) totally wanted the palette but I had to wait until it relaunched in December. So, long story short I'm so excited to use this palette as the colors are so perfect for me and it smells like peaches! The smell was so much nicer than I originally expected, and it honestly does make it funner (if that’s a word LOL) to do my eyeshadow. The colors are super wearable and it covers so many options; as it has neutrals, pinks/ peaches, a green, and multiple purple shades. I just can't wait to try this out as I think I will be able to make so many different looks with it. Also, I have to say it! Isn't the packaging to die for! I love the metal packaging that Too Faced has as its so sturdy and cute, I wish more brands would do this!

Anastasia Beverly Hills lip gloss in Vintage

I picked up the Anastasia lip gloss in the shade Vintage which is described as a victorian rose. I’m honestly not sure what a "victorian rose" shade is exactly, but it is a rosy-mauve nude shade that is incredibly pigmented. I have a love hate relationship with lip gloss as I love the look and the casualness of a gloss but I can’t stand if a gloss moves around a lot, is gritty, isn’t pigmented, or leaves a residue behind. So, I wanted to try an Anastasia lip gloss as they are raved over and I heard so many great things about them. So, I have tried this out and I really like it. It isn’t gritty, its super pigmented (as seen in that swatch WOW!) and as it wears away it turns into a moisturizing stain that is so comfortable on the lips. I am loving this one so far!

Maybelline Color Tatoos

My local supermarket went out of business so although I won’t be having a donut run for a while, there was a great sale on makeup. I have always wanted to try the Maybelline Color Tattoos and this was the perfect opportunity. I picked up two shades; Inked in pink (top swatch) which is the prettiest shimmery baby pink. I would say it’s like the shade Marzipan from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. I also piked up the infamous Bad to Bronze shade (bottom swatch) which is a metallic bronze shadow. These are crème eyeshadows that are less of a bouncy cream formula and are ones that are super pigmented but harder when you touch them (sort of Colour Pop super shock eyeshadow esq).

Stila Got Inked cushion eyeliners

I also picked up these two cushion eyeliners from Stila. These are the first products I have tried from Stila and I was so excited to finally try something from this brand. I got these at a Marshalls (which sells discounted clothes, makeup, etc.) for $5 each. This was such a deal as they are still being sold for $28 someplaces, and they are from Stila (which is a Sephora brand, so more high end). I picked up two shades; Garnet ink (top swatch) which is a dark brown eggplant shade. I also picked up copper ink which is a metallic copper brown shade. I love the idea of cushion products as they seams so easy to dip your brush in and apply.

Maybelline Fit Me Stick Foundation

At the makeup sale that I got the Maybelline Color Tattoos at, I also picked up the

Maybelline Fit Me foundation stick in the shade Toffee for contouring. I have seen multiple people use these foundation sticks as an alternative for high end contouring sticks. I was honestly just excited to see if they work and I have yet to try it. I switched it and the color was showing up a little weird in the photo, I would say it’s less muddy in real life and its more of a tan brown shade.

Clinique Pep Start eye cream and First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

So, for skincare I picked up the Clinique Pep Start eye cream and the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. I was looking for a few things to update my skincare routine as skincare is something that I want to focus on during 2017. I think that because I am such a makeup lover I often forget about how important it is to take care of my skin, and I really want to change that this year. So, I picked up this Clinique eye cream mainly because it just interested me. I wanted an eye cream but I didn’t have one that I was specifically thinking of and I really liked the idea of this one as it contains peptides and says that it brightens and nourishes. My skin has been a disaster lately, and I have had really dry under eyes (which is kind of weird) so I am really excited to see if this hydrates. I also picked up the First Aid Beauty cream as a new moisturizer as it is sensitive skin safe and it was an Allure-best of beauty winner for 2016. I had wanted to pick up the Origins Ginzing moisturizer (as I heard Hello October talking about it on YouTube) but it was out of stock so I picked this one up instead. I am so excited to see if it helps my skin to be less gross, and to try something out from First Aid Beauty as it is a cult favorite brand that I have heard so many great things about.

Bath and Body Works Stress Relief Lotion in Eucalyptus Tangerine

This is sort of a more random thing but I thought it was so cool so I decided to include it. This is stress relief lotion from bath and body works! I don’t know if this is something that I have literally just not heard of. But is this new or something? I have never heard of stress relief lotion and I love it! I am a generally anxious person and this soothes my stress so much. The smell is incredible and I genuinely think it works. I was skeptical at first but it honestly just works for me and I would recommend it for anyone who like me is trying to minimize their anxiety/stress in 2017.
