Peachy Summer Makeup and Beauty Picks

Hi guys! It’s finally starting to feel like summer and I am loving it. Finally it's time to start wearing sundresses, sandals, and sunglasses. When it’s summer I also love to switch up my makeup and adding peachy makeup is something that is essential to this. I know people who wear peachy makeup all year round, but for me peach makeup seems a little unflattering on me when I’m very pale in winter. This totally switches as soon as it’s summer as peachy tones go perfectly with a tan.

So here are a few of my favorite peachy makeup and beauty picks…

For lips, I included three options; a gloss, a matte liquid lip, and a lipstick. The gloss is from Revlon and is the HD Petalite gloss, and it is a beautiful peachy pink gloss with a little bit of shimmer. I like this as the shimmer isn’t overbearing and it really just adds a pretty extra touch. If you don’t want a glossy peach look, then this matte lip may be for you. It is the Colour Pop Ultra Matte Lip in the shade Donut. I really like these matte lips and I don’t find them to be too drying, and they are very pigmented. Additionally, Colour Pop is very affordable and a very cool brand right now. This shade is a pinky peach that leans more on the bright pink (somewhat baby pink) side of things. I think it’s a really gorgeous color for summer; as usually brighter lip colors are more in and it looks amazing with a tan. Lastly, I have the Mac cremesheen lipstick in the shade Crosswire. This is a sentimental lipstick to me as I picked it up last year when I went to the Mac store in Times Square NY (which was such a makeup geek out moments for me!). So, I love the lipstick as well, as it’s a true peachy pink shade. This is my favorite of the three lip products; as the cremesheen lipstick formula is very comfortable, pretty long lasting, and is not drying.

For eyeshadow, I of course went for the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette. This is not a groundbreaking pick, but I HAD to include it as it is one of my faves. So much so that I’m bringing it with me while I’m on vacation at the beach next week. I really like the peachy tones and I like how the palette has a lot of variation in the tones as you can create so many different looks including a peachy one. I’m going to stop raving over this product as I have talked about it far too much recently on my blog.

For blush, I have a drugstore and a higher end option. So, for the drugstore option I have a Wet N Wild Megaglow stick in the shade Peach Bums (which is a play on “beach bums”), and this is a stick cream blusher. I talked about two of the other Megaglow stick shades in my recent favorites post (Floral Majority blush and Oaks on You bronzer), and these cream products are some of my absolute faves right now. This shade is a light peachy pink that is shimmery, so it’s a kind of blush I would really only use in summer. I think this could work for a blush or a blush topper, and the shimmer would be very flattering in the summer months. I also have another Too Faced peach pick. To be fair Too Faced is responsible for causing the peach frenzy that has been going on for the last few months. It is the Too Faced Sweetheart blush in the shade Sparkling Bellini. This is a baked blush that has three different shades (orange peach, true peach, pink) all in the compact. I used this blush everyday last summer and I love it. It is one of the products that just screams summer to me, and I love how you can really customize your blush as you can choose which of the shades (or all of them) to mix.

Lastly, I have a peachy orange nail polish pick. This is the shade Vogue Rose from JINsoon. This is a very pretty color and I got it in my Vogue X Birchbox box that I unboxed in a recent post. I included this as I have been wearing it and so far I really like the formula and the color. I am also planning to wear this while on vacation, so it's one of my vacation picks.
