how I got a free Mac lipstick and you can too #Maclipslipslips promotion
Hi guys, today I have an impromptu post about the Lips Lips Lips promotion by Mac. From June 15 to June 25, if you purchase two Mac lip products (in store or at Mac.com) you get a free mac lipstick. I love Mac lipsticks and have been eyeing some for a while now and just couldn’t seem to make the splurge. With this promotion, I decided to as I have been adoring my Mac lipsticks lately (recent faves: Cross wires- peachy pink, Velvet Teddy- pink brown nude), and picked some more up as I know I will get a ton of use out of them. Then I got to choose which Mac lipstick I wanted for FREE!
There are six shade options for your free Mac lipstick that range from a nude pink, bold red, bold pastel purple, to a deep purple:
Hug Me- flesh pink
Barbeque- vivid orange red
Breathing Fire- bright warm fuchsia
Lust- deep royal purple
Lured In- mid-tone pastel purple
Mangrove- hot bright red
As for what to purchase for your two lip products, my suggestions would be the lipsticks. I would avoid the metro matte line (unless you have lips of steel- lips that can withstand VERY drying lipstick) and go for a matte, or cremesheen finish as these are very comfortable and are my faves. I personally went for two limited edition lipsticks from two recent Mac collections. The first one is from the Mac Fruity Juicy summer collection and it is in the shade Love at First Bite (a fuchsia pink). While the second was from the Steve J and Yoni P collection and it is in the shade Spotlight Me (a light peachy nude). I picked the shade Barbeque as my free lipstick as I don’t have any orange red shades and I thought this would be a good one to have; as I know I will wear it and I don’t have any duplicates of this shade.
If you are still searching for another way to get an even better deal, by joining Mac’s rewards program, I got free shipping and a free Patent Polish lip pencil. So, my order was about $36 for three Mac lipsticks and a Mac patent polish lip pencil, which is quite a deal in my opinion. This was also amazing as my mom’s birthday is coming up and I know she will love the lip pencil and use it a ton. So I'm planning on giving that to her as part of her birthday gift.
