a little drugstore beauty and stationary haul
Hi everyone! Today I wanted to post about some beauty and stationary goodies that I picked up recently. So, I am actually on a no buy right now (I’m trying to hold off until the end of July, so wish me luck!) and this was my last hoorah! I also needed to stock up on some staples as there are certain thing that I knew I would run out of during the no buy and would definitely need. So, keep reading to see what I picked up…
Maybelline Brow Drama- As for the essentials I am running (dangerously) low on my Milani brow gel. For me brow gel is one of those things that is such an essential as I have pretty large brows and they look crazy without some brow gel. So, I was looking for a new brow gel and to be honest I was having a hard time, there weren’t a lot available at target so I went with the Maybelline Brow Drama- sculpting brow mascara as I have heard a few people talk about it online. I was pretty much just hoping for the best and I’m excited to try it out. It had a really unique brush; which is thin and then at the end is almost in a ball shape.
L’Oréal Lash Paradise Mascara-My next essential was to pick up a new mascara and very surprisingly I tried out a new one. If you guys read my last empties you will know that I have been using the Maybelline lash sensational FOR EVER (check out my empties post Here). As I love it so much, but I had heard a ton about the L’Oréal lash paradise mascara and I decided I would give that one a try. I also wanted to see if it was truly a dupe for the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (as that’s another one of my faves).
Wet N Wild Photofocus Face Primer-My last essential product was some more face primer, as it is so hot right now that without a face primer my makeup slides right off my face. So, I needed to pick a new one up so my contour wouldn’t end up on my neck (and I could try to look a lil more put together, Lols). I decided to go for the Wet N Wild primer as I was using the Coverall primer from them and it was working really well for me. It was also super affordable.
Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink in Romantic- This is part of Maybelline’s newly released collection and it is a liquid lip! I was really interested in this product as soon as I saw it as it reminded me of some other product (maybe a Clinique one, like from the Clinique pop range, I’m not sure) and there’s a really large shade range. I picked up this shade as a bright pink it is such a good color for summer, and it looks gorgeous!
L’Oréal Infallible Paints in BRB Blue- So I first saw this on a commercial and I always thought it looked SO COOL! The commercial showed how the paints could be used as eyeliner (as well as a cream shadow) and I really liked the idea of using the blue shade in this as eyeliner in the summer. I have used this, and I really like the consistency. The shades work well as a cream shadow or eyeliner and it’s a nice duo for the price. Also, I thought my blue cat eye- eyeliner looked pretty cool (and wasn’t too in your face at all).
Zoella Fizz bar- I am so excite that Zoella beauty is now sold in target as I have been wanting to try more of it out. I tried out/gifted some of the Christmas bath fizzers and I loved them. So, I picked up the Fizz bar as I knew I would love to use it on some rainier days over the summer. I really hope they end up expanding the collection more in target as the selection is pretty limited ATM.
Note cards- I don’t know if anyone else loves Target like me, but I’m OBSESSED. I especially love the little section in the front of the store which has cute little items/stationary/ just generally cool things. I picked up these note cards that say, “just because” as I needed some new ones for thank you notes and just for general note writing.
Confetti- I’m counting this as stationary but it’s really for my blog images. I’ve been loving adding some confetti or beads in my photos and this pink and gold confetti was such a deal I decided to pick it up.
