Tarte Shape Tape Review & Ramble

I can’t even believe I’m saying this, but I finally tried the famous, talked about, what almost seemed like celebrity statused (if that’s a phrase to use), concealer… Tarte Shape Tape! My world will never be the same…

Alright, in all seriousness, I honestly wouldn't have thought I would have ever picked this concealer up. If you had walked up to me on the street and said. “Brynn, you will buy Tarte Shape Tape” (maybe with a crystal ball and some magic spells) I would have just said “ummm… I don’t know about that one”. I avoided this concealer for a few different reasons: A. I just didn’t want to splurge for a non- drugstore concealer (I know, I know, I was SO wrong), B. I have really been loving my Maybelline Instant Age Rewind (so having a little concealer splurge wasn’t really necessary), and C. In the US it’s only sold at Ulta (and I hardly ever actually go to an Ulta). But! I actually stopped in an Ulta recently and found myself staring intensely at the Shape Tape. Literally thinking “what could be so magical in this little tube?” and a worker at Ulta asked if I would like to test it. Long story short, I did, and I learned how amazing it is!

This is a more “glam” full coverage concealer and it really covers! I have pretty bad under eye bags and dark circles so I really rely on a concealer to cancel this out. It honestly does such a good job! Both at canceling out the darker tones and with brightening. Another thing I love about it is the applicator; it’s insanely huge! It really picks up the product perfectly and applies just the right amount. Lastly, while I'm not usually one to splurge out on a concealer, I knew this one would really last me a while. I use concealer everyday, no matter what, so I tend to use up tubes of concealer pretty regularly. So, if I was gonna splurge I wanted it to be a formula where a little goes a long way. Tarte Shape Tape fits the bill!
