Blogmas Day 3: a fall to winter lip edit

Hello people!

I‘m here today to do a fall to winter lip edit. These are the lip products I’m using right now as I’m not totally at the christmas red lip point and I’m still holding on to some brown tones lip favorites from fall. I am so excited to get more into winter makeup in december! Here are my picks!

from left to right: Velvet Teddy, Birkin Brown, 111 Kiss of Life, Sultry Sangria, 104

My first pic is a lipstick I cannot put down. I wore it so much during fall and it really inspired the obsession that I’m just (sort of) coming of for brown lipstick. It’s Velvet Teddy by Mac, an absolute stand up color that has been raved out by so so so so so many people. I really like the Mac matte formula and I really don’t find it too drying. This is an everyday shade that I just can’t see myself leaving behind right now.

Next pick is a more luxe pic and it’s Birkin Brown by Charlotte Tilbury. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while then you’ll know I love a good CT lipstick. I actually purchased by first one around the holidays last year (Glastonberry, if you wanted to know) and I haven’t looked back since. I wrote a post about my two CT lipsticks a lil while ago so I’ll link that at the end if you want to know a good real review. This lipstick is a rosey brown (another one I have been using so much recently) and it’s also in a matte formula. The CT matte formula is something that you cannot believe until you try it as it look matte but it feels incredibly moisturizing and like a satin lipstick!

My next is a true red and this is an old fave! It’s the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 111 kiss of life. It’s a true christmas red shade in a matte finish. I thought about putting in Ruby Woo but in terms of comfort, I really do prefer this lipstick over that one. While it doesn’t stay as well, it doesn’t dry out my lips as much and for the affordable price, ya can’t beat it.

This next one is a newer addition and it’s the L’Oreal lip paint in the shade Sultry Sangria. It’s a deep red with a berry hint that makes it christmas but vampy. I had always wanted to try out the L’Oreal lip paints as I’m a pretty big fan of the brand and the colors looked beautiful. This is a satin finish and it’s a bit on the messy side but it’s a beaut.

Lastly I have one that I’ve talked about way way way too much. It’s the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in the shade 104 which is a mauve rose shade. It’s a stunning nude that packs a little more rose for fall. I love it and I never stop talking about it.

There ya go, some of my faves!

What are you guys loving now? Any fall lip suggestions I should try?

DON'T MISS THE FUN.
